365 Project – April

This month’s 365 has been a lot easier to shoot but much harder to choose! We had some fab weddings & portraits plus a trip to Berlin to choose images from, also just looking for beautiful pictures in the everyday world has somehow presented itself with great ease. The result being the selection process was a nightmare but hey, it’s better to have too much choice then not enough! The format has changed a bit now as we’re only shooting film so it feels a lot more intuitive to be seeing and shooting this way.

Parklife Kids is a beautiful little boutique children’s clothes shop in the heart of Winchester. We were thrilled to be involved with them on some events to help celebrate their first birthday. We had great day in the shop were we set up a simple backdrop and then just used the natural light (as always!) to capture a steady stream of little cuties as they came in the shop. It was such a great day for all so I’m sure we will do something special together in the future.

This year we have the absolute pleasure of shooting our good friends Hayley & Dan’s wedding. Hayley is a very talented wedding photographer so it’s an absolute honor to be asked to be their photographers. Hayley is also a Pinterest addict so we were constantly bouncing ideas around and as soon as she told me they had a boat everything just fell into place!

Rock My Wedding Feature

We are so thrilled to have one of our weddings featured on Rock My Wedding. This has to be one the top wedding blogs in the UK so we are super excited about this especially as it was such an amazing wedding for us to photograph. Elena & Scott’s wedding in Brantanico Italy was simply beautiful in every way and Elena tells the story of it wonderfully in the blog post. X

We love it when our special wedding clients call us up to say that they’ve added someone to their family! We captured Jane & Ben’s wedding back in 2010 (Anna was very pregnant) and it was so great to be asked to come and photograph them again with their special little boy Elliot.

This is where photography should be – on the walls, being enjoyed every day, not sat in a folder on a hard drive! We love to help people design amazing features for their home so they can have a connection with the memories EVERY DAY. A constant reminder of all that is good and all that is special in our lives.

We always look at every family session and every wedding as if we’re being commissioned to produce art pieces to capture that time. What better way to demonstrate this fine art approach then to design a bespoke installation in your home with no creative boundaries.

365 Project: February

Here are some the first images I’ve blogged since embarking on a 365 project (a picture everyday for a year) I’m still waiting for some film to come back from the lab but in the meantime here are the digital shots. It’s so inspiring to be shooting for this project and especially to be constantly looking at the world and everyday life and finding beauty and interesting things to capture that are all around – more to come.
